We congratulate Alberto Miguel Gómez for receiving an FWF-ESPRIT grant for his project "Neostability Theory and Connections to Groups and Categories" with his mentor Matthias Aschenbrenner.
The project focuses on extending the current boundaries of neostability theory. This will involve the study of syntactic patterns and abstract independence relations, the analysis of definable groups in NSOP1 theories, and the extension of classification results along the NSOPn hierarchy to the context of positive and categorical logic.
