We congratulate Damian Sobota for receiving an FWF-ESPRIT grant "Set-theoretic Combinatorics in Banach and Measure Spaces" with his coapplicant Vera Fischer. He is the first member of the KGRC who was successful in applying for this new type of grant from the FWF.
The project investigates applications of various set-theoretic tools (like forcing and cardinal characteristics of the continuum) to selected topics of functional analysis, Banach space theory, and probability theory.
